Step Out Queensland
 Step Out Queensland has been rocking it from the very beginning! We started out with the occasional coffee and picnic catch up with a handful of awesome volunteers and eventually worked our way towards a Halloween party in 2010. Through a huge amount of support from local businesses and musicians we put on a wicked party to celebrate our first event, A Nightmare on Ann St held at x&y bar, where we raised $2500.
 It wasn't long until we were buzzing for more. One of our early goals was to hold a photography exhibition where we could display images capturing the beauty of their location and of the local people, with whom WYI work alongside to educate and empower the community. In February 2011 we achieved this with our Educate & Empower Photography Exhibition held at Bleeding Heart Gallery and sponsored by FotoFast. The images were on display for an entire week, allowing us to promote World Youth International to a market who may not have heard of their amazing programs. We had the opportunity to sell some of the prints during the exhibition and will be holding a market stall in the coming months to offer them to a whole new scene.
 While we do have many exciting prospects for the future, we are also currently in the midst of something new and exciting. World Youth International's Tip for a Cause 2011. Throughout August, a handful of cafes (Sherwood Coffee Club, PonyCat, Sisco and Moray Cafe in Brisbane) have kindly offered to donate their tips to help build a bigger and better Overseas Action Program project of their choice. Their generosity has been inspiring and I look forward to announcing the final figure sometime very soon!
