Volunteer in India
With its mind-bending diversity, from snow-capped mountains to sun-washed beaches, crusty old bazaars to chichi designer boutiques, ramshackle rural villages to techno-savvy urban hubs, India is a truly multidimensional country with an experience to suit everyone. The country is home to more than a billion people, and its diverse mix of ethnic groups translates into an intoxicating cultural cocktail that any traveller will love.
Despite the many things this country has to offer and its recent impressive economic growth, poverty in India remains extensive and heartbreaking. An estimated 250 million people live below the poverty line and approximately 75 per cent of them are in the rural areas.
World Youth International offers the Overseas Service Program and our all new Indian Experience Program to India. Follow the links for more information on the two programs!
