Join us in our National Pedal Against Poverty this April. You'll be having fun, keeping fit, protecting the environment and helping to break the cycle of poverty for disadvantaged children and communities here and overseas!
All you need to do is:
-
decide to ride your bike (or the bike at the gym) sometime during April
-
ask your friends/family/colleagues to donate money to sponsor your ride
-
collect the money from your sponsors or ask them to donate directly online
So how does it work?
You can ride by yourself or organise to Pedal Against Poverty as a team - enrol your family and friends to pedal with you!
You choose the distance and the route that you ride. It could be a half hour ride around the local park with a picnic at the end or a long distance endurance ride! You might even commit to cycling in the gym throughout April and have your gym buddies sponsor you! Or, if you're on holidays then plan to Pedal Against Poverty while you're away!
For help in choosing a safe and suitable route for your Pedal against Poverty contact your local Bicycle User Group - you'll find contact details at www.bicycles.net.au.
After you register, we will send you an information pack with all the details you need. If you are ready to deposit money, or you have a sponsor wishing to donate, please click here to see your payment options.
And we have great prizes!
